Testosterone levels
« on: February 26, 2022, 08:30:48 AM »

Hi everyone
I went for a testosterone blood test and other hormone related stuff
The T level is 4 what’s the normal level for us?
I’ve got a meno clinic appointment I’m waiting on (will be ages) to ask for testosterone gel
Just another thing picked up on my blood I have enlarged red cells the dr thinks I may have pernicious anaemia and deficiencies  in B12 and after reading the symptoms my goodness I think I have! I’ve struggled for about 6 months with horrible nerve pain down my legs palpitations and virtigo x

Hi Mandyjw

Please post your full results - this would be the T level and the units measured, together with the lab ref range. Also SHBG should have been measured. T results on their own, especially if you are not replacing it, are not very accurate at the low end of the range though once T replacement starts regular measurement should be done ideally to ensure levels remain within the normal range for women.
