Horrible symptoms
« on: February 25, 2022, 12:41:23 PM »

Hi everyone I’m having yet more problems with my hormones!

Just a reminder I’m 55 and still I believe in peri and have been for 11 years and to complicate things I also have ms.

I have been on oestrogel for the past 3 years and was on about 3 and 3/4 but started feeling panicky and doc changed me to patches oestrodot 100 mg.

I keep getting feelings of being aware of my breathing and feel out of breath and then I start feeling panicky 😱
I seem to get these every few days but notice they seem to coincide with my dry eyes feeling worse and this week and one day last week I had a show of blood when emptying my bowels I don’t have periods as I have a mirena coil fitted.

My doc wouldn’t increase my patch dose as it’s the maximum they can prescribe so I asked him to refer me to meno clinic. He did seem to think my awareness of my breathing was lack of oestrogen.

Doc is calling my Thursday next week for review.

I gues I’d like to know why I would get a show of blood occasionally whilst on mirena is this an indication I’m on too much oestrogen or not enough, I could cut my patch down or I could add a small blob of oestrogel, but worried I could make my situation worse.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Your GP should refer you to a menopause clinic as there are waiting lists, if symptoms ease B4 the appt., U can cancel it.

I had difficulties breathing pre-periods.  It eased once the bleed began, it was awful.

Hi CLKD

Yes it is really scary, I don’t think it helps that I have a hiatus hernia and inflammation of the stomach lining so am back on the lanspronal again. Every thing seems calmed down in that respect until my hormones change which in turn I believe changes my digestion thus causing indigestion symptoms which seems to be for two weeks of the month, the other two weeks I seem to be able to eat anything! God how I sometimes wish I was a man!

How have you been lately?

OK apart from low back pain and bursitis so physio. gave me exercises  ::)

Occaionsally I get heart burn so I take omeprazolol in the morning.  As well as milk of magnesia occasionally.

Hormones can upset the digestive system from top to bottom!  Literally  >:(  ::)
