It’s on our list.  It’s supposed to be as good as the book

We read the books - the C.mas one wasn't as funny.  Apparently Adam has written another  ;D

I watched one episode - don't think I'll watch any more as I didn't laugh once. I thought it was meant to be funny but the writer's attitude to birth and to women in general was awful. I do understand that often nurses and doctors need to have a dark, gallows-style gallows humour to cope with the trauma they deal with every day. But still... very glad it wasn't on TV when I was pregnant!
Apparently it's meant to be a "love letter to the NHS" :o

Definitely not for the faint hearted and wouldn't recommend if you were pregnant, quite gruesome in places.
Incredibly sad, he comes over as not a nice person but learns a hard lesson at the end.
Loved the bit about the luxury private hospital, in an emergency they are rushed to the nearest NHS hospital where the best in the country are waiting to save their lives, something I know to be true!

The book is far better.  Written from the heart!  I don't think the critics have liked the film.  Adam is going out on Tour too ;-)

It’s a series not a film.  Gets good reviews

Same difference  ;D - it's not the book but on celluloid ..........  8)

Both DH and I rocked with laughter at the original book.

Hello ladies.

I am avoiding this series as I know someone who is pregnant and I worry about her as it is lol.

It has always been the case that private hospitals can only offer limited help because they don't have an emergency department. If you are treated in one you just have to hope that nothing goes wrong and requires a dash to the nearest A&E.

Wishing you well ladies.
