Can we make use of the new highway code? We can walk slowly along the middle of the road 6 abreast and as we are the most vulnerable road users they will have wait patiently behind until we decide to turn off 2 hours later. Give em a taste of their own medicine  ;D

Of course, on country lanes, the new rules will cause huge hold ups behind  >:(.  Whether it's 1 cyclist or a hoarde.

I understand that there are a lot of accidents with those using electric cycles  :o Simon Cowell has fallen.  Twice  :o  :o

Sprinter Mark Cavendish won stage two of the Tour of Oman to take the overall lead from Fernando Gaviria and claim his first victory of 2022.

Cavendish edged Australia's Kaden Groves at the end of the 167.5km stage from Naseem Park to Suhar Corniche.

It is the 36-year-old's first victory of 2022 and 157th of his career.

"I was looking forward to this sprint, as it was similar to a Tour de France one, with a long finishing straight of over one kilometre," Cavendish said.

I have read Cav's recently published book: the 1st few chapters were OK, B4 it became technical  ::)

I picked Peter Sagan off a charity book shelf last week, now this is a book to read ;-).  His humour on the bike falls off the page  :-*

Mark Cavendish took victory on stage two of the UAE Tour as he moved to third in the overall standings.

The Briton produced a trademark sprint finish to win the 176km stage, with Belgium's race leader Jasper Philipsen finishing second in the same time.

I saw some of the race yesterday, the scenery consisted of sand with a few camel farms  ;D Cav got boxed in during the sprint so he sat up.

Ah, I'm going nuts.  It was last year's highlights, I thought it looked familiar.

This year's on at the weekend.🙄
