Hi,
I'm 46, have a mirena in place for progesterone and currently using evorel 50 patches with estrogel to top up if needed.

Every so often, but more frequently now, I'm getting night sweats. After being in bed for an hour I wake up drenched 
I've upped my estrogel to 1 pump in the morning and 1 in the evening, but still waking up most nights sweating. Ive increased it to 2 pumps this evening to see if it helps.

Am I doing the right thing? Although my periods are less due to the mirena, my body follows a cycle which I'm well aware of, pmt, moods etc. My period is due now and my mood has been off the scale this last couple of weeks. Is this because of not enough estrogen?

It might be that you have too much progesterone. The mirena is more than you need for hrt as it's designed as a contraceptive and it sounds as though you're having a spike of your own as well. How quickly have you been increasing oestrogen? You really need to give it time to work before increasing again.
