Worried as Can I restart my HRT

I stopped continuous Oestrogel and utrogestron two days ago after 1 year as I had a sudden small bleed and became nervous. Can I just start again or will that be risky. Just read on another website that stopping and starting can cause a stroke. Wish I’d kept taking it then spoke to GP!

Any post menopausal bleeding which takes place after a year of no periods, needs to be investigated.
Ring your Gp and they should refer you to gynae for a scan within 2 weeks.
I would keep taking your HRT. I made the mistake of stop starting, also due to bleeding and am currently in a hormonal pickle!
Best of luck 🤞😊

Thank you so much for your reply.
Did you stop HRT for long, I’ve stopped for a couple of days now.
Thanks again

A 2 day break won't make any difference but I too think you need to get it investigated. Were you a year without a bleed before you started this regime? If you're late peri rather than meno you may be better taking utro for 25 days out of 28 to allow a bleed if there's been a build up.

Thanks very much for the helpful reply. I’m going to ring my GP tomorrow. At work so a little difficult but hope to speak to someone.
