Progesterone suppository hell - any ideas
« on: November 24, 2021, 09:30:55 AM »

Aaargh. The perimenopause is killing me. I am progesterone intolerant and doing really well on oestrogel. However the progesterone pessary element is killing me. First, I tried utrogestan but the vaginal irritation, thrush and UTI was unbearable. Then I tried cyclogest vaginal and had the same reaction. I then tried it rectally and though I don't have the vaginal symptoms, i have reall bad external piles. I am desperate! Have any of you had similar experiences? I have Crinone and Kylena down as alternatives to try - I’m lucky enough to be with a menopause clinic as my progesterone intolerance is so severe. Do any of you have any experiences of these? Any advice very much appreciated.
