Hi quys, apologies if this is a stupid question

Instead of taking 50gm patch twice a week, can you take half a patch times a week? I just find the 50gm estradot patch makes me too drugged like but fantastic for my joints. I sleep better on half the dose but joint pains comes back.

Has anyone done this, taken half the dose every second day (so half a patch ever 2 days as opposed to 1 full patch 50mg every 3/4 days?

It would be better to cut a piece of each patch so you get a consistent dose.

I decided to put on half a pump of the gel as I have it sitting there from when I used it before, hoping that will bring me up to 37.5mg patch. let see. getting the dose right is the hardest part of all this. x

Hi Molly, if you're aiming for 37.5 mcg patch can you just cut 1/4 off your Estradot 50mcg & continue changing them twice weekly?  Won't have to faff around with adding gel then.  I know Estradot 50mcg are tiny but I've often cut the even smaller 37.5s by a third (using a ruler) to get to 25mcg when I've needed to taper off.  If you find 37.5 suits you better you can then ask to have the 37.5 Estradot prescribed.

thanks wrensong, i might try that, i have patches left to use before i get the 37mg. its hard to believe that little patch contains so much isnt it
