I’m new to HRT… I started oestrogen a couple of weeks ago. At the time of starting, I wasn’t certain when my next period was due and so my consultant told me to stick a patch on and start immediately. After a bit more than a week on oestrogen there was still no sign of my period… I was certain I should have had it by then as it has always been regular. I was then advised to start the progesterone and I’m now on day 6 and have just started to bleed… should I stop the progesterone? I really wish I would have waited to know where I was in my cycle before starting HRT,  I’m all over the place.

I’m also concerned that my Oestrogen levels might be too high… think I’ll put that in another post as my blood results are just in.

Hi I think the advice is to carry on with the progesterone as planned and hopefully your cycle will synch with it. X

Thank you Dotty, I’ll do just that. Seems to be turning into a period and not just spotting so hopefully I’ll soon synch bc at the moment I feel all over the place. My consultant told me to stick a patch on when I wasn’t quite sure when I was next due. Wish I would have waited for my period to start first. Everyone here has been so helpful.
