Hi, still troubled by the VA, I'm just trying the process of elimination, it's just dawned on me to try some sensitive skin detergent, can anyone recommend a pure as possible one please? Thanks

I've not had problems with either washing powders nor bubble bath with regards VA.

However, 4 several years the public were being encouraged to wash at 30 'to save the Planet'.  I have found that 30 isn't enough to get rid of powder residue, because the rinse/spin cycle isn't long enough.  I stick to 30 for tender items with perhaps an extra rinse cycle, otherwise it's usually 60 and I don't use softener as if 1 can smell it, then the rinse cycle isn't getting rid of the product!

MayBe use less powder too?  We aren't dirty are we and the amount suggested on the packets well - it means that the Company sells more product ;-)  ;D.  If my laundry feels sticky I put an extra rinse cycle on and hang on the line to blow dry.

White vinegar as a cold rinse might help.  And no you won't smell of chips  ;)

I dont use any wash powder,  they all make me so sore. I wash my cotton pants separately on a 60° wash then tumble dry on hot.

Never used a tumble dryer in my Life, if the laundry gets rained on, they stay out until another day  ;D

U could trying hand washing undies daily; mayB a little shampoo with a good rinse.  Or a hand soap where needed.

Thanks, never thought to use 60, I had visions of boiling them on the stove ha ha. I've just spoke to doc she's giving me a short course of steroid cream to help heal, then continue with the estriol, fingers toes everything crossed x

I wash everything at 30 using Dove shower gel and a heaped tablespoon of salt. For whites I add a glug of white vinegar. I do use a long rinse program as I agree with CLKD.
I don’t use a drier, rainwater reduces ironing!  ;)

I remember Granny boiling those knitted white washing kitchen cloths on the stove ....... as well as cotton t-towels, then dripping them on the line on a windy day.  Oh the smell  :-X

Fairy non bio, a lot less powder than they say, no fabric conditioner.

Hi I live in Australia, so no idea about 30 or 60, I thinking everyone is talking temperatures?

I wash in only cold water only with my washing machine. I use baby clothes washing liquid,  as it sensitive for babies. It’s plant based, phosphate, enzyme, a dye free. It’s called Purity, Australian made and owned, but I’m sure UK would have something like it.

I also find Dove sensitive soap to wash my body, water only for my vagina. And I have a shower head that can be pulled off, so I bend over to rinse shampoo and conditioner out of my hair, to avoid and of it running into my vagina.

I hope this helps you, it really helped me as well as using Vagifem and Ovestin internally (different nights of course) and Yes VM though out the day and Olive and Bee at night. It’s been a long road but I’m now at a place off 90% plus every day  :)

Persil Non Bio liquid.
"Powders tend not to be dispersed by normal rinsing cycles"
Quote from various chaps who worked in research lab involved with Persil products.

My skin has been less itchy generally since switching to eco-friendly liquids.  I'm currently using Eco leaf which is keeping even my gardening clothes clean on 30 degrees!

Hi thanks for replies, we'll I'm not sure which is doing the trick but something seems to be helping with the VA, I'm on week 5 of everol conti, still using ovestin twice weekly and been washing my panties in simple shampoo, also using the hydromol id say the last 5 days have seen an improvement, also the urgency to pee every 5 mins has warned. Fingers crossed x

Ovestin may not be enough twice a week.  1 can use it nightly if necessary.

I use an eco egg, and use a low temp wash. Liquids bring the menfolk in my house out in hives. I keep non bio powder for hot washes but use the egg for most, and no residue to need rinsing
