I wondered if there's anyone here with experience with Testosterone?

I've had my test results come back at 0.35 nmol (on a range of 0.7 - 1.67). My own natural testosterone was 2 nmol prior to starting Peri, I was always on the high side naturally. I am wondering if this could be responsible for the extra weight I've gained and the chronic constipation, and wanted to ask:

- Does it have to be really, really low to get a prescription?
- Have ladies here had any success with it / experiences to share?
- Does HRT affect testosterone levels at all, or would this just be my own natural declining testosterone?

I believe that a Consultant can prescribe testosterone.

MayB put 'testosterone' into the search box to see what pops up, I know it's been discussed.  make notes ;-)

I was prescribed it with HRT from my GP but this doesn’t appear to be the norm. I  haven’t had any blood work. I wasn’t told how to take it so read the very long testosterone thread on here which is very, very informative.

My free testosterone was low. I was prescribed Androgel (Canada). I took it on and off, including a stint over 6 months, and I just did not notice a difference. It didn’t do anything to my blood work. So I stopped taking it.
