Wonder if anyone else gets this symptom of ??
I really feel as though I need to have a tremendous Botty Burp and try as I might - nowt is happening - never had this problem before Menopause - it feels like a BB its building up and just cant ESCAPE!!!!!
Anyone recommend anything??

Exercise.  Add more water and fresh fruit and veg to your diet.  Slow transit has been my problem since an early age.  As oestrogen levels drop, muscles may become lax which can include the whole of the digestive system.

My slow transit is a nuisance: I feel that I need to open the bowel but nowt happens,  not even a fart    then as soon as I get off the loo .......  not so much of a nuisance when at home but if I'm due 'out' anywhere

This Menopause lark has a lot to answer for - HOPE it all finishes soon, but don't hold out much hope for that though  EArwiggin at TESCO a lady was talking to a friend in the queue that her 83 year old mother was still getting symptoms???
Will it ever end??

Was her Mum on HRT I wonder  . No one needs to suffer!

Pity cant ask her now - didn't think to butt in and add my pennyworth! I was using patches but the bleeding was freaking me out so stopped applying them, Will they help  with digestive issues if I start reapplying them again??

Not sure about that tbh.
Since hrt, my stomach is sensitive to most things. I’f it’s not trapped wind, it’s wind in itself, I was never like this before. But then, I could eat most things before meno and never had upset stomach.
I use rennies and gaviscon, for acid reflux, and windeze for trapped wind. I find the rennies make me ‘go’ .
I used to love my fruit and veg, but now I have to watch what I eat. Too much veg and I’m ‘in trouble’ . 🙀

Buscopan - we gave it to our dog who would get a trapped spasmodic gut - he would give a big burp and be OK again.
