Aching/painful knees
« on: September 02, 2021, 03:50:08 PM »

I've always had problems with my knees since I was a child with them 'cracking' when I bend them, but in last few weeks the aching when swimming, walking & sometimes cycling is getting more painful & annoying. Does anyone know why this is happening and is there anything I can do/take to make it better? I'm on Everol patches 100mg & testosterone gel. Thanks.

I've had arthritis in my knees for many years. Inherited from my mother and her family  :'( I find it's worse when it rains, and also if I over-do exercise, however I find it's better with gentle exercise and stretching, and if it's really bad a couple of paracetamol. I also take calcium supplements which help a bit too.

Hi, my knees were sore too. I now put my gel on my thighs and back of both knees, they don’t ache now but that doesn’t prove it works however I’m continuing to do it.

Hope you find a solution that works for you. X

Morning.  As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  As suggested, mayB review your HRT?

Quads exercises can help with knee pain too.  I keep forgetting to do mine  ::)

Try Voltarol Yorkie.
I have terrible knees too, when they flare up, I use voltarol. It does help.

I would see you gp to see if you can find out what's causing it. There may (or may not) be some appropriate treatment. If it's arthritic changes infrared knee supports such as Back on Track products may help.
