A thread for anyone struggling
« on: August 29, 2021, 08:50:38 AM »

Hello everyone,

I am feeling pretty low today and just full of tears. Last week was a bit better and my antidepressant was only increased 3 and a half weeks ago so perhaps it is to be expected to have difficult days.

The meno clinic (Studd) have said it can take 3-6 weeks for the increase in HRT to work and 3 months for it to bed down. I am almost 4 weeks into the increase in oestrogen.

I would do anything to feel more like me again.

The support from people on here has been lovely.

I am supposed to be trying Provera next week but I am worried as I am not sure I can cope with my mood lowering. The meno clinic said to try it and I will know if it’s not ok within a day or so and to ring them. I was on Utrogestan 7 days a week previously but had a break for a month and now am going to try something different as I never really got used to utrogestan (felt low, fatigued, brain fog and anxiety when coming off it).

So, today I am doing something creative in the kitchen while the sun shines and then I’m going to have a bath and do some exercise.

If you are struggling I am thinking of you, you are not alone and go gently today. Pants to days that are a struggle. xxx

Why not stick with your original thread  :-\.   :-\ then your feelings won't get lost as the pages move down.  U can alter the title box by using the 'modify' button and moving the cursor into the box ........... as an alert.

Yes, could have done that. I am not very knowledgeable about the best way to use forums! x

Just do what feels right for you. Trust your own "call". 💚

Hi Mindfulmoomins,
Good to hear you already felt a bit better last week. Today is probably one of those days that just come along on the journey of healing. What I understand from others, and also from my own experience, it's not a straightforward process but more like two steps forward and one step back kind of thing... Sounds you had nice activities lined up for today so hopefully keeping busy helps with the low feelings. Take care!xxx

Thank you Ella, you are probably right. It’s just a low day as part of a bigger picture. I have been so worried I’m not getting better.

Trying to relax this evening.

Some days are like an endurance test it feels. Perhaps if I can lower my expectations on those days it would help. One day at a time as the saying goes.

Thank you for being there xx
