Without going into full history... I've struggled with peri over the last 3 years. Really struggled. Feel like it has stolen my life.

I'm now getting ready to try the private route for bioidentical.  I'm not in meno and the NHS solutions of the pill or hrt just don't suit. The NHS route has not solved my problems and neither do I feel like they care.

So, I have my eye on a private (well known) clinic. But was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I'm not sure it's appropriate to publicly post, but please feel free to pm me.  I'd really appreciate any reviews before I take the plunge and offload myself of a lot of money.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. There must be a lot of woman use these clinics or they wouldn't survive. To be clear, I'm looking at bioidentical hormone supplement, not private advice on conventional hrt.

Many thanksx

Perimenopause can begin earlier than many of us are aware of until symptoms hit, it may also last 10+ years B4 our periods stop completely.

MayB take a diary with you to the appt., i.e. symptoms, food; which  symptom U would like ease first?  That way you are less likely to feel rushed at the appt..  Louise Newsom has done a lot for women and Dr Currie will answer e-mails for I think, £30.00.

We have threads on bio-identical treatments - perhaps a search would show some help in how others have coped?

Good Luck!

CrispyChick, are you considering going the bespoke, compounded HRT route?  If so, you might want to take a look at my thread in the Alternative Therapies section on here.   I bumped it up for you before.

I found that convention oestrogen worked well for me, it was the progesterone component that I struggled with.   You can mix conventional HRT with compounded products if you wish.

Thank you ladies.

Yes, I am thinking of compounded, bespoke hrt. I just don't feel I'm getting anywhere with the general doses of hrt or the pill...

I notice the bespoke claim to treat all sorts of hormonal imbalance, so I think it makes sense for me. But it's a lot of money, hence looking for recommendations.

I've read your thread, thanks Mary. I'm definitely keen to go down that route now. I'm wasting my life on conventional support.

Surely it depends on what you get for your money, i.e. how long is the appt. and how much regular follow-ups will cost?

Crispy I hope you're doing ok! I have seen a couple of times Dr Susie Rockwell - she isn't with Mariun Gluck but she trained with them and has the same identical approach and can offer compounded HRT (as well as normal). I rated her highly from the interactions I had with her and I think (?) she's considerably more affordable than MG themselves. Might be worth taking a look at her website anyway xx

Thanks ladies.

Had a few private replies. Thanks for your recommendation gilla. I recall you mentioning her before... I'll go look. How are things with you??? Have you found the high dose estrogen is helping?

Thanks scampi. I may have days where I feel like it, but I won't give up!!!! Where are you at now???? Xx

I’m the same crispy. Things really fluctuate and haven’t found my answer yet. Think my issue is I have too much oestrogen at the mo so trialling different progesterone - utro or replacing Mirena. The quest continues…

That's what I'm wondering scampi, so thinking maybe a low dose progesterone through compounded BHRT. The mink pill gave me terrible pms.

But, ultimately, I've no idea if too much/too little of which. Conventional medicine can't seem to work it out... So time for a new route. 🤔

I have been a million times better since starting Lenzetto Crispy (I'm on two sprays a day, though planning to drop down to 1.5). Pretty much since I started it my night sweats and related insomnia have been vastly improved. I still have a couple of days a month which are a bit wobbly (around ovulation) but it's a whole world of difference to au naturel or when I was on the Pill. The Pill just didn't work for me - it may have stopped ovulation but the hormone tests I had proved that my own hormones were going crazy underneath and that was causing my symptoms while on the Pill. I'm still not totally certain what exactly was going on, I just know I am a different person since starting Lenzetto.

Worth mentioning that when I first tried Estradot before the Pill last autumn I gave up after only a few days as I was still having all of my symptoms... but looking back I think for me what made the difference begween Estradot and Lenzetto was the timings when I started them. Syncing the starting of Lenzetto to my natural cycle, instead of (like with Estradot) just taking it at any point in my cycle made a whole world of difference. (And the same for when I tried taking Utrogestan). Taking anything outside of my natural cycle seemed to actually trigger my problems and so i gave up. Just thought it was worth mentioning!

Good luck with the compounded route, let us know where you decide to go xx

Thanks Gilla

You've got me thinking. Maybe I should try conventional hrt again first. I only tried femoston tablets last year. It was the estrogen that got me... Never got to the prog part...

Do you know how your lenzetto spray compares to femoston in terms of strength??? Femoston was defo too strong for me.

I think I'll switch pills next week. Final trial... But given my history, unlikely to work!
