Animal list declassified [Saturday Guardian ]
« on: July 04, 2021, 08:50:18 AM »

Apparently the government intends to remove many of our wild plants and animals from various protection lists.  Including the red squirrel and news.  I suspect that this is so that building companies no longer have to spend monies on calling in 'experts' to do a review of what might be living in those areas which will be concreted over.

What the government forget, conveniently, is that the Public have paid for these various protection schemes through taxation.  Think HS2 - pushed ahead by the governments of the day even though 5 SSIs are being ploughed up as well as ancient forests and all that those contain.  As well as housing, some having stood for Centuries, being removed from the path of a train.

I now need to read the article again once I've calmed down  :'(
