Patch users ?

I apply mine on alternate bum cheeks twice a week, should you apply on a different area of bum cheek each time, or the same ? I saw a video on youtube a while back about absorbtion and it said to apply to a different area or you stop absorbing it, then another video contradicted it by saying best to apply to the same are 😕 My patches (Estraderm 75) are quite big and skin isn't itchy, but it looks a bit red.

I've never heard that you should apply in a different area or you'll stop absorbing it - sounds like a bit of fake science to me. However, I do tend to try and spread out the area I put the patches on, partly because you get those horrible black glue marks which have to be soaked off, and also because I do sometimes get a red itchy raised rash so I figure they are a bit irritating so best to move them around.

I do the same as racjen but always towards the top of buttocks so that I don’t sit on them. I’ve never heard of absorption issues by using same area either.

Another +1 for same as racjen and robin. I don’t make sure they are in a new place . I normally have an area at the top of my bum I like that doesn’t catch or show (swimming costume) or feel weird

If you alternate it shouldn't still be red but if it is you should put it somewhere else.

Thanks ladies, it's not inflamed red, it's more like the skin is affected from not breathing under the plastic. It does go away, but the skin looks a little different, slightly discoloured, it's hard to explain.
I'll try moving position slightly.
Lillith.

I have four different areas for my twice weekly patch. Low down just above my pubic area alternate sides and on each bum cheek.

When I can be bothered to fake tan I often don’t remember to remove my patch so on change day I’m left with a white box shape on my bum cheek! 🤣x
