Anyone on omeprazole for digestive issues? If so do you feel they helped?

My wife was prescribed these after a period of constant nausea/heartburn/reflux
(caused, we believe, by hormonal issues, of course
) - they worked INSTANTLY and she didn't need to take them for very long at all. Go for it!

Hi,sorry ,just saw this thread, I had awful nausea down to reflux, well, silent reflux and omeprazole helped a little, what is great for nausea is stugeron, travel sickness tablet, take two of those and the sickness should subside

Thanks, I have been on it before 10 years ago but did very little but discovered I had h-pylori. I thought this was glaring up again but there’s no trace plus bloods were ok. Will give it another go. Are you still bothered with nausea now?

When meno was at it's worst, I was nauseous for weeks and weeks but it seems to have subsided now,it does pop up to say hello every now and then but the stugeron gets rid of it. Be careful of what your eating as meno can also be the cause of food allergies etc,try just jot down everything you eat to see if there's a pattern, since cutting out wheat I've been so much better

I seem to have good and bad days. It’s really when I wake up but as the day goes on it eases. The thought of going to bed makes me anxious worrying about how I’ll feel when I wake up
I have noticed I can feel a bit off with certain foods which has never happened before.

It does always seem worse in the mornings,I think you'll find on here,it's the same for a lot of ladies,if you have anxiety,it causes more acid in the stomach, which if like me,caused nausea, even though it didn't feel like I had reflux or heartburn, also be careful with omeprazole, some people, like my OH just can't stomach it for more than a week at a time.
Good old meno,as if it's not bad enough it stops us enjoy our food too

I’ve never been an anxious person but lately I have which I think is due to peri
and like you say can make you feel nauseous. I’ll keep that in mind thanks, I have a few weeks supply so will see how it goes. I know this is just awful what we have to go through
I love my food too!

You'll get there,we all do,just a bit of a rough road sometimes. I never suffered anxiety either,so had no idea what was wrong with me. I love my food too,it just doesn't love me back quite so much these days

That’s the thing you think something is wrong with you and I think this is what has caused me to feel a little anxious. You just don’t feel like yourself, like you are being taken over. I just hope it passes soon and I’m back to being me.
