Hi SueLW,

Generally I am tolerating it really well, but some palpitations are breaking through.....i was wondering whether Lenzetto might be a bit weaker, as i was using 100-125mcg patch prior to this....but assumed i was imagining it!

I might try a bit higher, and see.....thanks for the kick up the bum to try xx

The lovely GP I spoke to is a Menopause Specialist, so I’ve decided to try the spray for 6-8 weeks.

I'm using it.  I don't think it's strong enough for me.  I'm on 4 sprays a day.  I'm either going to need 5 or 6 or a patch/spray combo I think.

I just wanted to say that I don't think 6-8 weeks will be long enough for you to trial it.  You will feel some changes by then, but I'd suggest your trail for 12 weeks.

I’m currently using 2 sprays in the morning and 1 at night, only my second week on it. I’ve been having a breakthrough of symptoms about 3 pm with a headache and not feeling great. And again at 4 am when I wake up and have a night sweat. So I’m not sure 3 sprays is enough. I’ll keep at this level for the next couple of weeks and think if I want to increase.

I’ve had some relief of several symptoms though eg reduced breast tenderness, my hair texture has improved dramatically and I feel well throughout the morning. So it’s definitely better than the patches I’ve been on. It’s early days though, so I’ll see how things go.

So far no awful side effects so fingers crossed, I saw online one pump equated to roughly a pump and a half of the gell

My own experience is that it's nothing like a pump and a half of gel.  It's weaker.  You were on a very low dose patch.  I'd say aim for 2-3 sprays a day and see how it goes for you.  I'm on 4 and need to go up to 5 now.  Possibly 6.  Review next week to see what Dr Newson says.  I have way too many symptoms on 4 sprays a day.

Thank you Sue, I’ve just done 2 sprays for the first time so will see how that goes, I have definitely felt some improvement so far as you say I was on a very low dose patch so will see how this goes! The pain in my hands has really eased which is great for work, I’m a designer/photographer so use my hands all the time and it was becoming so painful! I’m hopeful if I can get some improvement on my sleep the fatigue will improve a little too! Has anyone else experienced hip pain? If I can improve on that I’d be so happy! I assume it takes a little while to see the benefits in relation to joint pain improvement? . Have a lovely day all xxx

Hi Smitten , I too have sore  painful hands  ( had tests and all clear) and hip pain. It is great to hear the positive reports with  Lenzetto . I too have tinnitus. ( It is a joy getting older I would be interested in how it goes for you. It sounds like Lenzetto absorbs well. Are you taking Utrogestan also?

Hello Pepperminty no estrogen only as I had a hysterectomy just over 3 years ago 😊  my third day on 2 sprays and my sleep has been awful, it may not be the Lenzetto I guess, I will persevere and drop back down to 1 spray if need be see if it makes a difference. Xxx

Hi Smitten,

It  is a mine field. I would give it a bit longer and see if it improves. And yes we tend to blame everything on HRT sometimes. Stress can play a part if you are worried about the new regime. Maybe try some relaxation. Good luck.

Hi possibly a very slight improvement, I’m usually awake around 5am on a really good night, I was finding I was waking several times a night when I last posted! Early days I guess but I think there’s still improvement 😊 xxx

I'm now over 4 weeks into my second attempt at Lenzetto and so far, so good.   Unlike the last time I trialled it 3 years ago, my symptoms have not returned.

The Newson Clinic say that 1 spray of Lenzetto is roughly equivalent to 2 pumps of Oestrogel or a 50mcg patch but last time around, my oestrogen blood levels were about 300 pmol on 3 sprays of Lenzetto which does not make sense.   Perhaps they have tweaked the formula?   That might explain why it was withdrawn in Spain for a while.

I hope everyone else is doing well with Lenzetto.

I’m doing a lot better on it. I do 2 sprays morning and 2 in the evening.

The only issue I need to clarify is where I am putting the spray.
I can’t use my forearms as I have a brand new granddaughter and I don’t want to risk touching her with the area treated. I tried my inner thighs, but the symptoms weren’t controlled, so now I’m doing the back of the top of my arm.

I do feel a lot better than I have for about a year though and I actually have ‘hair’ back instead of wild, straw like tresses

I’m on Lenzetto also.  I watched a video that Dr Newson has done and on there she said that one spray of Lenzetto is more like 1 pump of gel.  I also contacted the manufacturer and they sent some data from studies that were done and I was surprised at the results, it isn’t very strong at all and if you don’t absorb brilliantly that that also makes a difference.  Each increased dose is not comparable with the first so if for example you get say 50 pmol blood with one spray you don’t get 100 pmol with 2 or 150pmol with 3 sprays, I guess it’s the same with all HRT, I don’t know.  It’s just finding one that gives relief of symptoms.

I was wondering if  Fake tan effects the absorption?


I know putting moistuiser and fake tan  effects the gel etc. But I was wondering as it is a spray whether it absorbs differently.
