Hi

Sorry me again.

I am on my 5th Femseven Conti patch and I am really fed up, so fed up I could cry

I am so bloated, especially both thighs and stomach. Im guessing it's the progesterone part. Can anyone tell me if this will settle and reduce?? my legs are so heavy and I feel so fat and ugly. Do not even want hubby to see me.

Would you consider stopping the HRT for a month 2 C if symptoms go away?

I used to get bloated - couldn't keep my skirt done up by mid-afternoon.  It was awful

If only..... I can't even miss a day without going nuts. I could cope with the physical symptoms but the emotional/anxiety send me doolally

Hormones can control everything we do.  Dr Dalton did a lot of work in the 1970s/80s even representing girls in Court who had committed murder during the run up to periods.  The power of hormones can be highly under-rated!

Anxiety is the pits.  My emergency tablet is a Life saver ;-)

Hi Warwick, have you managed to get your thyroid function checked yet?  If you're not on enough Thyroxine that could make you very waterlogged.  Agreed it's a horrible feeling.  I'm on sequi HRT & with me it's the oestrogen phase that makes me retain fluid - as soon as I start the prog it all goes down the pan!

Hi Wrensong - not managed to get blood done yet. I really think its the new Femseven Conti patches as it started 2 week into patch. Not sure which part is causing it, progesterone or oestrogen

I just applied my 9th patch - at 12 it will be 3 month and will review if a change is needed. They say to give treatment 3 months, hopefully it will settle. Continue to have a few sweats along with a little anxiety/panicky feelings. Also still waking during the night. Things are better but not quite there yet.

Perhaps you should try a different hrt bit do get your thyroid sorted too.
