I do believe it’s the fluctuations and our sensitivity to them.

So day 3 of no hrt last two nights I’ve woke at 3am wide awake, even through my Fitbit says I’m sleeping well, mostly light sleep I’m exhausted. Get these weird waves of chills rise up from stomach & then the usual sweaty knees, elbows, chest. Now I just feel yuck nausea, achy back/pelvis & I’m going back to bed   :'( just totally anxious it’s not hormones related, I can barely function & comfort needed please!

Oh. Itwillpass I really feel for you. My story is exactly the sane, and you feel so alone.

Go back to bed, be kind to yourself. You have other options that your are now thinking of trying. Hold onto that. This is your trial to see how you are au naturel.

I'm experiencing my first migraine on microgynon. Almost 9 weeks in. Migraine avd nausa. Gutted. Other pills hsve given me migraines. On nothing I was getting loads of migraines... I'm back in bed too. 😔

Thank you CrispyChick really needed to hear that  :-* I’m so anxious it’s unreal. My hubby said as he left this morning the oven & bathroom need cleaning, I replied I can barely clean myself  :'( I feel so guilty not being able to do just basic things, duvet day for us both then I hope you feel better soon, will have to push myself to get up later this afternoon x

Thanks Floo just got up sort of drifted in & out of sleep getting woken by these weird stomach/chest waves, another new symptom, need to eat but no appetite  :( feels like my body is buzzing. Wonder if I should of eased off the hrt slowly instead of just stopping, this is where I get weak & slap a patch back on?!

Hello peri-wrecked 😊 yesterday was much the same as the day before stayed in bed till 2 just getting up to eat (which I get no enjoyment from) It’s such a completely exhausted scary feeling, like I can barely keep my eyes open actually really worries me. Today a bit better but pushing myself because hubby is here, other than such awful back pain which I can also feel into my hips, managed to potter about in the garden for an hour or so. Everyday is just so different isn’t it, keep me posted on how you’re doing & what you decide to do with the hrt x

I'm glad you managed a few hours pottering in the garden.....I understand what you mean about back and hip pain. I have struggled with back pain over the years at at the start of my journey my back was very bad.....now it is more hip pain and lower back. I had one day during the week where my hip and back went out. I was like an old lady hobbling into the shop and I'm only 38....following morning it was gone. Weird how that happens. My right hip is giving awful trouble which is why I am going to try and make an appointment with my gp.  It has been giving trouble a few years now but I was putting it iff because I had so many others tests done before my early menopause was diagnosed.....🙄 well fingers crossed we both get relief soon. I am definitely thinking of going on pill to suppress my one hormones......one day I can be pretty good and the next I'm not.  It's strange.  But you know what I mean.

Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary?

I found the waking hormone 'cortisol' was my enemy.  It would wake me anytime after 3.00 a.m., I would wake terrified.  Beta-blockas helped from 2002 until 2020.  Eased those awful adrenaline surges.

Peri woke this morning feeling awful, back/hip pain, jelly legs, yawning non stop! Had a weird light headed moment 9.15 last night & heart rate dropped to 60 which I’m still freaked out by  :'(

CLKD I do keep a diary doesn’t seem any rhyme or reason to any of it. Can cortisol stay in your system & make you feel awful for hours after?

Hi Itwillpass,
Sorry you are not well today. I've been feeling very poorly myself today too. Feel jittery, nauseous and  just low mood.......I had a few hours of feeling okish and now feel miserable again. It's hard to know what to do next. I hope things ease up for you.

I believe that cortisol stimulates adrenaline which can certainly make 1 feel ill for hours.  In one psychological session the therapist told me that the body is unable to maintain a panic attack for more than 20 mins..  I walked out.  My longest was 3 days  :'(

I find when stressed in the mornings, a walk round my garden to focus on something helps [on fine days of course].  Also eating regularly which when feeling ill, is very difficult 4 me.

Just a quick catch up, so last couple of days I’ve actually felt slightly better, not the usual poisoned feeling maybe? Managed to do some housework & gardening which still leaves me feeling exhausted but also distracted, I would say my bloating & nausea is definitely less, appetite still not great but eat because I know I have too! The only thing is the last two mornings I’ve woken with the most awful sickly headache absolutely hideous. Hope all you lovely ladies are taking good care of yourselves.....well the best you can with these awful hormones x

Hi all,
Sounds mean but I'm so glad to read posts like this, makes me think I'm not going la la as I think!   ;D
I had a shaking episode last night which scared me to bits. Whole body shook like an adrenaline rush. Plus I also have the jolting awake that someone mentioned further up the thread. I've never felt so ill since being in peri. Feel like I'm in someone else's body.
