Walking down the street to collect the papers from the village shop earlier to find I had a pair of reading glasses in each hand  ::) - hope it's not true that what one does on New Year's Eve one does the rest of the year!  :o

I was in Tesco today and suddenly remembered the time when I bought something with cash and then asked for £10 Cashback. The checkout lady asked for my card and so I gave her my Clubcard but she said she wanted my debit card. I told her I had already paid but wanted some Cashback. I just couldn't understand why she wanted my card when I'd already paid >:( Why wouldn't she just give me my £10 Cashback.

It was quite some time before the penny dropped and I went all red and said "Oh Lord, I've been asking Tesco to give me £10 for free"  ;D

I've done this before! It's funny how they aren't keen to give you cashback when you pay with cash  :)

I had made lunch and put black pepper on it.  That evening I was making dinner and wanted the black pepper.  Looked in the cupboard but it wasn't where it should be.  Thought I had left it out on the worktop but it wasn't there either, so gave up looking.  The following morning when I was getting out the milk for breakfast, here was the black pepper sitting in the fridge door beside the milk.  I think I must be getting blind as well as forgetful as I had opened the fridge several times the previous evening.  My son thought it was hilarious.
