Jaypo, don't worry - it's me not reading your post correctly either  ;D

OK, so I have the PIL in front of me & it says "Adults . . . Take 2 tablets two hours before travelling and 1 tablet every 8 hours during the journey".  Box says the same.
But that's for travel sickness, so knowing you were prescribed 2 tabs 3 times daily for dizziness is helpful!  Thanks  :).  Meno brain can now compute   ::)  But don't ask me to do long division  ;D

I'd put it down to being a dizzy blond, but when I put my specs on, turns out that apparition of my little grey granny I keep seeing everywhere, is me.  Short-sightedness: nature's way of softening the blow of middle age  ;D

It's that woman staring back from shop windows that shocks me  :o  :o

I have used 'Kwells' successfully 2 ease anxiety surges as well as numbing me whilst travelling.  It is sleep inducing though. I don't think it matters short term.

Haha wrensong,you are literally a dizzy blonde/gray  ;D
Ok, I don't want anyone to just take my word re the dosage, I could've sworn it was SOMEWHERE in the PIL but,if you look it up on the nhs site,it tells you there that for vertigo it is 2 tabs 3 times daily, flippin eck, thought I was going mad (er) for a mo  ;D

Oh Jaypo - what are you doing to me girl?   ;D  You've just had me reading the PIL right through again to be sure there's no ref to using Stugeron for dizziness  ::) ;D.  There isn't!  But I checked the website as you suggested  ;D so I don't inadvertently kill myself taking too much of the stuff https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/cinnarizine/
& seems you do know what you're talking about ;)  ;D  Gold star for you!  These are the relevant bits:-

"It's used for:

travel sickness (also called motion sickness)
dizziness and sickness caused by inner ear problems (such as vertigo, tinnitus and Ménière's disease)
It also comes mixed with dimenhydrinate (another antihistamine) to treat vertigo.

For travel sickness

Adults and children aged 12 years or older – take 2 tablets 2 hours before travel, then 1 tablet every 8 hours during the journey if needed.

Children aged 5 to 11 years – give 1 tablet 2 hours before travel, then half a tablet every 8 hours during the journey if needed.

For dizziness and sickness caused by inner ear problems

Adults and children aged 12 years or older – the usual dose is 2 tablets, taken 3 times a day.

Children aged 5 to 11 years – the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken 3 times a day."

Can I ask was it straight Cinnarizine you were prescribed or the one combined with Dimenhydrinate they mentioned here?

Uptick  ;D.

Was that the online PIL you quoted?  The one in the box with my new pack of Stugeron says nothing about dizziness!  Honest  ;D

It is used by GPs though for dizziness.  Anything must be better than vertigo  :-\.  Apart from gin  ;D

Yes, first bit is from SmPC, last bit from PIL. It has been updated on emc 20 May 2020.

Aha!  Thanks Uptick.  This explains the discrepancy: the PIL in my new box of Stugeron (expiry date 12-2022) says "leaflet updated Nov 2019".  Between us all we got there in the end  ;D

Pass the gin  ;D
