Detective work- Can I add a patch?
« on: November 23, 2020, 04:31:26 PM »

Hi there,

Been back on Evorel Sequi for a month and here’s what I’ve learned after keeping a diary.

1. Nights sweats and increased temperature/flushes were caused by too much progesterone on Conti.

2. High heart rate & BP, anxiety, hair shedding all coincide with 7 days before period.

I think I definitely need more oestrogen after separating it all out as the other symptoms I have all the time are classic low oestrogen symptoms.

My question is - I bleed really “well”, can my gp give me a 0.25 patch of oestrogen only to add to my Sequi? I know the progesterone is supposed to be the right amount for the 0.50 but I feel like my own progesterone is still there too and there’s no problem with getting rid of my lining.
I’m trying hard not to change HRT again!

Thanks!  :)

I am curious to know the official answer too. If you're on utrogeston it's the same dose regardless of how much oestrogen you're on so I'm not quite sure why evorel should be different.

I can’t figure it out either, if people can be on as much Oestrogel etc as they need with one set dose of progesterone then it should be the same for patches. Can’t seem to find why there is a difference anywhere.    ::)
