Hi I’m due to have a polyp removed as I was going to have a coil fitted due to constant bleeding and other discharge every day, But Doc couldn’t do it as polyp was in the way (was Put on mini pill when I turned 50 but bled all through lockdown because of italso started having hot flushes mainly at night/early mornings) has any else had this done Just wondered if the procedure is painful at all?

Hi, yes l've had several polyps removed over the years. Always been very straightforward and painless. Hope it's the same for you.

Hi there! I had polyps removed just over two weeks ago via hysteroscopy and D and C. I had no issues post-surgery, very little in the way of bleeding or discharge, and no uterine cramping. I did have a brief situation 2 days after with painful bowel spasms, mainly because of the anesthesia and not eating for almost 20 hours. Other than that, it was all fine.

So had the polyp removed and coil put in, mildly uncomfortable but bearable and the procedure was quick. No issues so far no cramps or bleeding just very slight discharge but nothing like before, where I had bleeding/watery discharge every day
. Feeling happier now
