estradiol cream
«

Hi all, have been given Estradiol cream in a 80g tube. I have been instructed to use an applicatorful every night for two weeks. The applicator seems rather large so phoned the pharmacist at GPs and she said it should last two weeks. No way will this last if I full it up every night, the dosage os 0.5 and the applicator seems way bigger. Any clues or suggestions??

Does it indicate on the applicator where your dosage is shown? I'm on Vagifem so not familiar with your cream but on most applicators it shows how far to fill up. Did the cream come with directions? Hope more ladies familiar with cream applicators will be along shortly.

Hi, there is nothing on the applicator, and have worked out the dosage should be 2-4 g which is 2-4 ml and 5 ml is one teaspoonful! Which means I have been overdosing!!
Am now on holiday so can’t go back to pharmacy, what to do??

Are you in the UK? We don't have an estradiol cream here. We have a generic estriol cream at 0.01% which comes in an 80g tube with a very large applicator. If it is that, then you fill the applicator down to the ridges. It's a lot.

You can't overdose as it will drain out ;-).
If it doesn't last, it doesn't. How's the holiday?

Holiday fine, just got to Spain yesterday, no problems with flight, was practically empty. Masks have to be worn outside and inside, big fines.
