DH has a bee in his bonnet
........ he has been behind me all morning to help tidy up the lounge. He's been through the old videos: handing me those he thinks should be thrown and mostly I have agreed, but why the "why do you want to keep that one?" query each time I hand one back
- because I DO!
I can hear the hoovery-thingy at this moment
........... will make a cuppa then go through some paperwork which is currently cluttering up the lounge floor, waiting for when I can be bothered

Have you found anywhere to take the videos CLKD or are you just taking them to the tip?

CLKD - If the videos can still be played - there is a phrase that might be useful TOUGH. No is good as well.
Can they be converted to another format? Be a shame to lose something you liked.

I have kept those I like. The others are in the bin! Sleeves off into the cardboard recycling. A few offered on Freegle.
I have a HUGE pile of paperwork to sort

We aren't allowed to recycle video tapes in our bins. They have to go the special bin at the tip nowadays.

I can emphathise with you CLKD about the paperwork.
I found a marvellous gadget to help me with mine, when i'm on a declutter.
Its called a Shredder!
It all seems to fit better into the bin bags then.
Trick is not to fill the space left with something else.
Still struggling with that one.
Some people collect videos now, they're very Retro (no idea?!) and collectable, apparently.

Every surface has something on it, even the stair case
......... anything shredded goes into our compost heap.
No chores today. Been out for a long walk and then ..........
Start again in the morning

I'm just the opposite, CLKD, I can't stand clutter. I have to have my surfaces clear.

I tend to go out when mine gets too much and then I am really surprised when I come back and the tidy-up fairy hasn't been around..

Tidy-up Fairy misses our house too
However: been busy today. Sorted out stuff for auction. Have a huge pile of paperwork - still but it is in one pile. Onwards etc. etc..

I file away all our paperwork once a week. I hate doing it but if I don't the pile gets too high and that's annoys me even more.
