I’ve been on HRT for a month...pleased with it so far. I’ve been noticing, occasionally, that my eyesight feels a little worse and I have to wear my glasses more, esp in work. Eyesight can be a little misty at times/have to blink and print not quite as clear. Then I read this...I wonder if it’s because my Oestrogen and Progesterone has increased? I’m not pregnant or had a hysterectomy...HRT?

Hi.
Yes, I've upped my dose, and my eyes are blurry, especially when I first get up.
It does say in the leaflet something about eyes. Think the extra oestrogen lubricates everything. 🤷‍♀️

I'm near sighted but had been stable for years. Started getting worse around the same time as peri, may have been age rather than meno though. Still getting worse now I'm on HRT. I hadn't connected it to hrt.

Lack of Estrogen causes my eyes to dry out and makes my vision blurred.  The anti- androgen progesterone in Eloine, drospirenone also makes my dry eye worse.

Floo36, you may find the following articles about sex hormones & dry eye interesting, particularly the growing evidence that androgens seem to be important for ocular lubrication, though the first paper is pretty old.  The 2nd link is more recent & very long  but worth a read if you have time & inclination!   The sex hormone association is complex & the bottom line seems to be the jury is still out.
