Hi Charliegirl.  If bowel function is normal but you have pelvic pain & backache, could it be a UTI do you think?

Didn't your GP refuse to carry out a dip test on your urine last week?

I think you need to insist on a urine test on Tuesday. In the mean time make sure you drink lots of water or squash to keep flushing any bacteria out of the urinary tract and bladder. Does your urine have its usual colour and odour?

Smell seems ok but colour is quite dark and seems very concentrated Taz.

You need to drink more to try to flush it through and see if you can get the colour more normal. A large glass of water every half an hour or so. Don't hold on to urine either.

How have you been today?   The 1st pee of the day is often dark and smelly.  As the day goes on and we take liquids on board, it should be straw coloured, no lighter.  With no odour.

As suggested, get a fresh urine sample to the GP and ask for it to be sent away to a Lab..  That way if there's a bug it can be identified and if necessary, appropriate medication prescribed.  Hopefully your Surgery is up and running and not using C-19 as an excuse not to engage with the needs of their patients ?!?!

Let us know how you get on?  Have you needed to take pain relief at all?

Oh well done Charliegirl, that's good news  :).  Fingers crossed for progress for you now.  Sorry I didn't know history when I first posted.
