Burning virgina, with shower gel
« on: August 21, 2020, 06:46:35 AM »

Hello beautiful ladies,

Prove that shower gels (rose body shop) makes virginal atrophy worse.
I haven’t use shower gel for a while, I use Dove sensitive soap,
I only use it on the legs, but a bit must of splash on my virgina, instant pain and I’ve still in pain 3 hours later. No pain before, needless to say the shower gel is in the bin.
Hopefully the pain will go away? Any advice?

I’ve had virginal atrophy for about 19 months now. And I use Vagifem and Ovestin (externally) every third night. And Olive and Bee in the day time. I wash my underwear with baby sensitive laundry detergent, bend my head over then I rinse my shampoo and conditioner out. And use dove sensitive soap. Did I believe this made a difference to my virginal atrophy, not really but I do now.

I can't remember if you are using appropriate VA treatment, if so slap some on asap and take a pain relief.  Cool water bath?

I can't say I'm surprised if some of the shower gel got onto the vulva! Water only in this area is the best way. You could try a barrier such as Hydromol if you use soap or gel on the rest of you. I'm sure it'll settle down given a bit of time.

Thanks for your reply, I just edited my post with a bit more information.
And I never have problems with pain with washing with Dove sensitive soap, but of course never ever near my vulva only water.

The bath sounds like a good idea, if the pain doesn’t improve I will try that. I will also use Vagifem and Ovestin tonight.

Just goes to show that perfume soaps and shower gels do make virgina atrophy worse.
And I loved my smelly shower gels but I like a pain free vulva better

Of course, it takes a while to get comfy .......... after a cooling bath, put a dose of 'vagifem' in ? and another tonight?

I’m feeling so much better today, after three reloads this year I’m feeling 90% normal vulva  :ola:
