Estradot supplies-still difficulty obtaining them???
« on: August 18, 2020, 02:41:42 PM »

Can someone please advise on the current situation obtaining Estradot patches, particularly the 50 ones? I am due my review and last GP visit 6 months ago I was moved onto Evorel 50 due to the problems getting hold of the Estradot, I do prefer Estrodot and I will request them again if there are no supply issues? Thanks

Hi...I had a meds review today and Estrodot still unavailble. I also have the 50mg..Have tried  a couple of other Estrogens but don't get on with them as well. Doc wants me to try Fem 7 or Evorel...Anyone got any advice for me ?
Chemist suggested Progynova...

Thank you, I will stick with Evorel if there are still supply issues with estradot then, such a shame as they are so much smaller :(.
To answer your question I have been on Evorel 50 for 6 months now and I don't find them any different to estradot (performance wise  ;) ) only difference for me, is the size and the fact that they don't stick as well if you're swimming, I have just come back from a holiday abroad where we swam every day and once I had one come off as I removed my swimsuit, never ever had this issue with estradot. After that I had to be very careful upon removing my costume but they never felt as well stuck as the estradot.... this was only when wet of course, otherwise they stick fine. Sorry I don't know anything about fem 7 but I'm sure I've read they are bigger again than Evorel and don't stick aswell (at the start of my HRT journey I was actually on FEM Seven Combi which didn't suit me but this was 5 years ago) Good Luck

Hi. I had a review two days ago and was changed to Estrodot 75 - and I got them straight away. Is the difficulty in supply maybe regional? I'm in Essex

Hi there

Very early on in the shortages issue we were unable to get Estradot here in SW England where I live and I was changed to Estraderm ( terrible) and then to Elleste Solo MX which I have been on ever since and I am perfectly happy with these. They seem to stick well and deliver a decent dose of oestrogen, and not too huge. Whenever I reorder my prescrption online I ask for Estradot but it's never available - but I'm not that bothered really - just the size of Estradot is so convenient!
