I have been using the vagifem again since July 17th 3 times a week now,  estriol externally three times a week and daily HRT nearly 3 months. Doctor has said I can continue HRT. Yes, I am improving slowly, more better days now, so grateful for that.  Am I expecting too much to be much better by now? I know we are all different in the way we progress. The lady doctor at my practice said I couldn't use vagifem and estriol together whereas, my lovely male doctor said no problem I could use both. Shan't be stopping the vagifem again. The last few days have been burny and a little itchy. Guess the hot weather doesn't help us ladies with this condition. Just wishing for a faster result. Replies appreciated.

Hi,

It has taken me 18 months to get to the point where I have the majority of good days against the odd day where I feel uncomfortable.  On those days I used estriol externally which helps.  Keep persevering as it does get better as I am now on the twice weekly dose.

It is what it is.  Takes time.  Why can't you use the products together, did the silly GP tell you?  Sometimes 1 has to get on with it!

Up the Vagifem to nightly if you have symptoms, some ladies need to use it nightly for Life.  I have no trouble in the heat/cold - cotton panties,  no tongs and if necessary, no knickers at all ;-).  Long skirt, let the air get to it.

Thanks Ladies,  for replids. I thought I might buy a skirt tomorrow.  Will increase my vagifem and see how I get on with it.  I am using the vagifem and estriol together as the lovely male doctor said no problem to do so. Guess it's taking a long time to feel much better because I made the mistake of stopping treatment. I realise now that was a huge mistake.  Won't be doing that again. Thanks again.

Symptoms are improving thank you CLKD, and thank you for asking. I know it's a slow process took ten months last time. Hot weather hasn't helped. Determined to beat this so will carry on with treatment. Would say I am 70% now so not far off. Using vagifem more and estriol mixed with yes OB most nights. Now starting month 4 of HRT. Fingers crossed now for further improvement. Thanks again.

Certainly will keep up the treatment. Never going to stop again. Learnt from that mistake, believe that is why it is taking a long time to get right this time.
