Hi all, thought it would be good to start a thread where people can add little tips & tricks for people. I'll start it off with:
When you get biro on clothing spray with hairspray before washing, worked for me

I had brown marks in the dishwasher
White vinegar on the hottest wash then bicarbonate of soda on the hottest wash. Excellent result. Really pleased.

If you have mould marks on your mastic around windows & baths you can mix a small amount of bleach with bicarbonate of soda into a paste, not runny ( I use an egg cup & teaspoon) and just put it on the mastic, leave for around an hour then wipe off, it's like brand new. Works on grout too. Remember to do a small test first

I make my own disinfecting wipes using j cloths and zoflora . Keep them on a sealed box, then after I've used them, I Chuck them in the washing machine. Less wasteful than single use ones

I remember 'Zolflora' from years ago, does it still smell as bad as in the 1960s
Good idea as j-cloths launder several times without breaking up.

So I fold 10 j cloths to fit the box, then I mix 1 and a half capfuls of zoflora with 500 ml water. Pour the water over, put the lid on the box. Then just take a cloth out as needed!
