Is it me or my hormones
« on: June 25, 2020, 12:04:05 PM »

I have been on utro and gel for six months with hardly any improvement. Everol conti didn't work either. Should I just give up now and admit to myself it's me making myself feel so poorly or should I ask for another type of HRT. My life and my families is just a misery. Even with increased pumps of gel no better. :'(

Are you taking utro every day baby? I know I couldn't tolerate it every day, many of us take it in a cycle so we get a break from it x

Hello Baby
I am sorry you are feeling this way. I have tried Femosten conti and recently Evoril Conti, like you I never feel happy. In some ways I feel numb , like I am just floating from one day to the next. I give myself goals but never achieve them. It might be worth going back to the docs re a different HRT. I sometimes wonder if it is just the drudgery of everyday life that bears us down sometimes, there is always a constant stream of problems to deal with. I have a great husband but he does not understand and I be quite honest I have given up talking to him about it. Can you speak to your family? I tried CBT but it took so long to get a counsellor I did not find it helped me one bit. I do hope you can find a way to get back to happy you again. X

Hello Baby.

I am so sorry to read that you are not feeling any better. Have any of your symptoms been helped by HRT?

Many ladies here keep trying different regimes until they find one that works so perhaps you should do the same.?It's easy to give up and start blaming ourselves but other women eventually find a solution.

I'm sorry that I can't be of more help but my heart goes out to you and I wish you well.

Take care.

K.

Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress, something to talk to your GP about? Maybe ask for a referral to a Menapause Clinic [NOT a gynaecologist]!

I do keep a diary but there is no pattern at all. I have been refered to a clinic and had both appointments cancelled.
