Also - it would appear that there is a fungus caused by aphids [? melon ?] which is affecting leaves on budleah .........

I separated two fighting newly fledged blue tits earlier, they were locked together shouting at each other  now I thought that my sister and I were bad enough

I once saw two robins fighting,my goodness,feathers were flying everywhere,they look so sweet and innocent to

Robins are vicious  .  Blackbirds aren't far behind when protecting territory.

Not many tadpoles in the top pond, lots of very small froglets around, need to watch where we put our feet

Bit of a worry our buddliea bush is  now in full flower and no sign whatsoever of any butterflies.

Lots of butterflies here but the buddleias aren't out yet!

I was hoping you might have an answer Taz.
Good that you have some butterflies though.
It’s just strange not to have any once our buddleia gets going.

Some budleahs have been affected by melon virus  .  Our 4 shrubs are beginning to get buds on

We had a thrush in the garden about an hour ago  - rarely seen, sometimes heard

Inundated with thrips,can't open windows or doors,if you go outside for 5 minutes they cover you,apparently after a thunderstorm can be the reason they come out in their millions. The fly traps are covered in them and I've put out bowls of apple cider vinegar with a few drops of fairy liquid,apparently that gets them too

We call them thunder flies. The house martins swifts and swallows are having a great feast. 😁

We have lots of swallows here,or swifts,not sure which. These flies are so bad we can't even open a window,when we did,the curtains were covered in them and our carpet was black with them all,two of the hottest days of the year and no windows open,hellllllllppppp
