A few years ago DH watched a family of Mum with small babies in an orchard in the afternoon - she had five.  They followed her across from one nest to another.

We also see 2 having squabbles between 2 over food caught on camera: one rolled up and the other tried to push it through the hole in the fence  ;D: without success: so now I spread meal worms around the garden much more ...... B4 dawn magpie arrives to clear up any that the 'hogs don't want.  Certainly there's lots of snuffling etc. in the evenings if several meet in our garden.

Many animals are solitary: bears, cats - who like dogs, will mate with any male that happens along so each kit/pup can have a different father, tigers, leopards, cheetahs: then the lions formed a Pride  :D.  I hate the bit when Mummy bear hides from the 2-year olds and they cry for her  :'(

The style of writing was so witty, but I learnt a lot whilst I chuckled at it, but it was the image of a male rolling the other male away bless him, that one pulled at the heart strings x

I heard an awful noise one night and went out with my phone torch on to find a male (I'm guessing here though) hanging on for dear life to the top of a very large (at least twice the size) female. That was my introduction to them being somewhat noisy whilst in the moment 😂 x

3 hedgehogs here last night.  Two shuffled off in one direction, the other scuttled to where I'd thrown food  ;D. Later we heard a tawny owl, probably the female.  It sounded really lonely  :'(

It's probably a Little Owl but the Barn Owl screeches too?

Ke-wick .......... quite loud and close by, then close by but quieter  :-\

Little and tawny owls are often out in the day .......... barn owls at dusk.
