Feeling guilty!! I washed out all my bird feeders and stashed them in the shed and haven't refilled them an dput them out. I must do that tomorrow!   I have two large bird baths and I do keep them clean and full of fresh water though.

Don't feel guilty. There are plenty of gardeners feeding these days, that's why we don't have as many of anything these days.

"We have now discovered that the fawn, now named Tinsel, was rescued by a black Labrador. "  apparently the Lab. carried the fawn into his owner's kitchen in his mouth, the deer is now under the care of Hillside Animal Sanctuary.

I've just seen a video on Buzzfeed's "This Week In Cats" (does anyone else see this?), in which a Russian couple rescue a cat whose paws had frozen to the ground that it was trying to cross.   Puss was completely stuck on the ice and even his whiskers were iced over. This kind couple got busy pouring lots and lots of warm water over the cat's paws.  After a while, they manage to free the poor little moggy, wrap it up in a blanket and apparently take it straight to a vet.

Heartwarming story. I wonder whether either the closer ones were full up or maybe they didn't have otters of a similar age?

The nearest was probably in Derbyshire.  In the 1960s Phillip Wayre began rescuing and rehabilitating otters across Norfolk ...... other Centres began helping out, the Chestnut Centre in Derbyshire has samples of most types, including the large ones .........

What does squirrel taste like CLKD? Is it good? How does himself cook it? How about sharing his recipe. Do we still have a recipe page?
