Ha ha that's quite understandable! It's so lovely when you see new birds in the garden.

They would not be growing slowly in my bathroom CLKD.....they would be politely ushered out. I prefer my bathroom to be spider free.

Last week I nearly stepped on the biggest spider I have seen for years. It was in my shower room. I turned on the light and almost died of fright. I actually screeeeeeemed. OH came running to see what was wong and even he had to agree it was a big b***er.

We had a huge one once, my daughter called it a banana spider as she was sure it stowed away in a box of bananas but it was really just an overgrown house spider but it was enormous  :o

Just put our feeder out for the winter, it gets completely ignored in the summer so we take it down and give it a good clean.
Day off today so hope to see some action, a magpie was the only visitor late on Sunday when we put it up. Niger, fat balls, suet, peanuts and mixed seeds on offer (cost a fortune) so they'd better show some interest! Our cat was killed in August so they have less to fear now.

My favourite visitors have to be the long tailed tits - so cute!

Sorry about your little cat  :( Somedays our birds come and some days they don't, they can eat half a feeder full in an afternoon or the level hardly drops in 2 or 3 days you never know when the tits will come but the robin comes every day.

It's sad when our cats get run over, I had that happen to 2 in the space of 9 days  :'(

Our birds are in and out occasionally.  Not many here yet but the wren is BACK  :-* after a gap of 12 months.

not much activity on the bird front today, just one robin spotted. It is quite mild at the moment - we usually get an influx when the weather is going to get bad!

You can all have some of mine! Take your pick from over 20 collared doves, 8 pesky woodpigeons, 20 to 30 goldfinches plus a small flock of mixed greenfinch and chaffinch. There are countless sparrows, three robins, blackbirds, blue, great and coal tits and, of course, an influx morning and late afternoon of over 30 starlings. I can't afford to keep feeding them!

so that's where all the birds are -Taz has got them!!!!!!!!! ;D

I am totally green with envy Taz, I have one robin, 4 bluetits, several sparrows, 4 pigeons and a group of starlings. I would just love to have some finches - of any kind!

Oh , I did have a woodpecker on one day but he hasn't been back :(

The crows/rooks seem to have gone - thank goodness!! do they go off somewhere this time of year?

We have about the same as you purplenanny but not the sparrows, shame they are dear little things, and some days they come more than others. Since i put some seeded bread on the ground we also have a blackbird, oh and a squirrel who chances his luck - shoo!!

Oh yes, I forgot about the squirrel - he is very cheeky, hanging upside down on the nut feeder and all sorts of antics. Funny to watch though.

I love the little sparrows Jane, they really are very pretty. Good idea to ground feed - not thought of that. Do you use a dish or just straight on the grass?

I scatter on the bottom patio around the feeding pole. If I put it in the feeding tray there is usually a squabble as it is quite small.
