 ……….. fortunately BJ you didn't step onto them  :o

We saw a red kite taking several drinks from a lake this week.  A badger got into a neighbour's garden but had to be dispatched by the RSPCA as it was badly injured and fly stricken.

I think it's rather beautiful - especially the blue/purple penises!  They're not rare though - loads in my garden but don't tell my gardener husband as he'll put down the pellets. I do tell him that they are his friends because they eat other slugs but he doesn't believe me

It's strange as they don't actually need each other do they so I guess they must enjoy it!

How can they be female if they are hermaphrodites which mean they are of both sexes?  ;D

I saw a bat catch a moth earlier …….. that's a 1st!
The hedgehog climbed into a mixing bowl full of water: you know the sort, pale brown kitchen 1950s type bowl: because it's full of dried meal worms rehydrating.  It was there for a couple of moments, climbed out, gave a little shake, turned and had another mouthful  ::)
