After an MRI, Romain Bardet has confirmed that he has a small brain haemorrhage, following his concussion.
Such a shame.

What a final 20k!
.........
Romain Bardet should never cycle again. Closed head injury has to be taken seriously. There is never 'just' or 'only' concussion: effects can last for years

What an odd stage without the huge crowds cheering them on, I was hoping Porte was going to get the stage

Ineos Grenadiers rider Egan Bernal has ended his Tour de France defence with a withdrawal before stage 17.
The Colombian, 23, lost more than seven minutes to leader Primoz Roglic on Sunday's Grand Colombier climb.

Not surprising, in my opinion he wouldnt have won it last year if it had been run as a complete race
I’m still hoping Adam Yates and Porte will have a good day and gain some time. I’ve mostly just watched the highlights this year but I’m home today so I can watch it live

We are feet up on the sofa TV on .
I have a theory: these Columbians live at altitude so do well initially in the Grand Tours. However. Although they train at altitude in Europe it ain't no where near what they are used to - so surely the lung capacity will lessen? = lack of stamina as the years go by?
