Tour of Yorkshire postponed and Chelsea flower show off, those poor people who've been growing plants for Chelsea, all that hard work must be so disappointing  :-\

The Tour is concidering going ahead without fans.

Not sure how I feel about that.  How will it be policed and is it just to keep the sponsors sweet.   :-\

Former Tour de France champion Geraint Thomas has raised ?300,000 for the NHS after completing a trio of 12-hour rides over three days.

Thomas rode on a turbo bike in his garage at home in Cardiff for 36 hours over the course of three days from 07:30 until 19:30 in his bit to help raise funds to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

"No exaggeration, the last two hours were the hardest I have ever had on the bike," said Thomas.

"I could barely sit down."

British Cycling and HSBC:

The steps we are taking

Last week, we were delighted to be able to confirm two of the steps we are taking to help the nation and its frontline workers tackle the spread of coronavirus. The ?100,000 donation that we ? along with Sport England and DCMS as part of the Yorkshire 2019 Places to Ride legacy fund ? have been able to make to the Wheels for Heroes fund will enable more NHS staff to be able to commute safely and for free, by bike, as they continue their exceptional work across the country.

I am also pleased to say that we are now offering three months? membership for free for all NHS workers, thanks to our partnership with HSBC UK, and you can find out more about what that means for existing NHS members in the article below ..........
.

However: so many front line staff are having cycles nicked and cars damaged  >:(
