Also we've lost the 'bike' channel  :cuss: and I don't know about on TV   -    there will be 'sportifs' all around the UK, if you buy 'cycling news' I think, it's the weekly mag., you'll get info in there.  Each county has various types of cycling events every weekend.

I think there may be a few events in Italy, I know I've watched a one day race around lake Como in the last few years, the weather was either glorious or so horrible you couldn't see the lovely scenery.

TV coverage has been very poor, I recorded the first stage but when I went to watch it they were showing random clips of other sports and didn't get to the cycling until an hour late, of course this meant that I only had half the stage recorded  :-\ I've been recording the programme immediately after since as insurance but we've only watched one stage so far.

I think at least one stage was shortened because of the heat.

Isn't it good that the season has started again  ;D

Cycling as a sport was so heavily involved in drug use that they started rigorous testing in and out of competition and that has contributed to riders being caught, even with extremely small amounts of banned substances. I think anyone caught should be banned, but, other sports need to follow the example cycling has set.

When was the last time a footballer failed a drugs test. Do they even get tested ?

Wiggins and Frome had both been taking medicines and had exemptions but the press enjoy highlighting this and trying to make a negative story before all the facts are known.  >:(

Two good news stories this week, first Cav won a stage of the tour of Dubai and second Luke Rowe is six months ahead of schedule recovering from his awful broken leg  :)

Two events start this week, Froome is in one and Geraint Thomas is in the other for Sky, I'll be watching as much as I can, the season has really started now  ;D

Saw Cav's win.  He was so happy. TV on almost constantly what with catch up on the winter Olympics, Rugby this weekend and cycling and trying to fit a walk in too. What a dilemma but a nice one to have
