We actually have the Tour de Yorkshire coming through our village this year - it's one way to get all the potholes repaired :)

In Britanny at the moment and it's good. We have a long drive across northern France on Saturday to stay just outside Roubaux. We have been lucky that every year we have watched the race it's been dry, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next Sunday  :)

Now in Lille after a 5 hour drive across northern France, I wish the motorways  in the uk were as quiet.

Look out for a welsh flag tomorrow  ;D

It's a glorious morning for "hell of the north"  ;D

It might be a dusty rather than muddy race today  :o

We are hoping to see the race in 4 or even 5 places, it depends on the speed, last year it was a fast race so didn't catch as many views as we would like  ::)

So dusty for them today. The motorbike isn't helping either but I guess they are needed. Very cold here today. Wind is bitterly cold

I'm back in the hotel, I didn't go to the veladrome. I usually get back wanting a cold drink and a cool shower, today I want coffee and a warm bath, the wind was bitter  ;D
