Trigger Finger Surgery
« on: April 26, 2020, 01:09:45 PM »

Hi Ladies, for those that have had this surgery, how long did you find it took for recovery? A friend had both hands done about 6weeks ago, 3 fingers on each hand but is still really struggling with pain, particularly of course when shes been using her hands, and slight swelling as well. She did see the Dr after the op and also saw a therapist who gave her some splints to wear on the fingers at night. She is loathe to go out at this point in time to see the therapist again, so I said I would see if I could find out from anyone who has had similiar surgery as to what your experience was post op and how long before the pain and swelling subsided. Thankyou x

Surprised that 'they' did both hands  >:( never was a good idea even with help around the house  :-\

Does she use the splints?  Does she take pain relief?

I would suggest cold/warm water therapy - soaking hands in cool water for 5 mins then warm water for 10, moving fingers gently.  Several times a day.

Did she contact the secretary at the hospital yet?
