Weird night sweats
« on: April 24, 2020, 08:17:56 AM »

So last year when all my symptoms started I had a few nights sweats, only about 5 in total spread over a month, then nothing till last night. The strange thing is it's only one part of my body - the pelvic area - the rest of my body is fine/normal but my pants are soaking wet with sweat and so are the sheets around my bottom. Is this common or is there something weird going on?
I'm also scared to death in case it's not hormones causing it and I've got something serious!

My night sweats are also odd.
I have been on 2 pumps of gel since December and the sweats disappeared until about 3 weeks ago, now they are coming back but only on my torso. I don't actually sweat at all just get very hot.

I just switched from patches to gel, sweats dissappeared, but abnormal bleeding started again, so I am on 2 pumps of gel.
Glad to see back of sweats, but also lookinf forward to dose reduction stopping abnormal bleeding.

Hi Paz,my night sweats vary, sometimes it's my abdomen, like I have a hot water bottle on it,then sometimes it's my lower back but it's been like that for ages,it's all normal I think  :)

Glad I'm not the only one - it's all very strange what hormones can do!

The pants thing...yes that was me too although I was hot all over! Had to get up several times in the night and pat myself with cold water.  However, since going on HRT they have lessened considerabley , I normally only wake up once about 3/4am and the pants thing has gone thank goodness.

I just thought a night sweat was like a hot flush but at night. But my hot flushes tend to be my upper body. The first time I got a night sweat I thought I'd wet the bed! But it dries really quickly once I've thrown off the duvet. Perhaps it's time to change the 13 tog for my summer weight duvet! 😯😬

I'm usually cold at night though, just occasionally wake up drenched from the waste down to the tops of my thighs with sweat. Very odd.
