Taking HRT is supposed to provide relief from the symptoms of menopause but what happens when one stops?  Do the symptoms come back?  How long should HRT be taken for?  I've heard that some women, well in their seventies, are still on HRT.  Does this mean menopause cause symptoms that last for the rest of our lives which force us to  carry on taking HRT?
