Trapped wind

Hi ladies .. my god who knew trapped wind could be so painful ! Have had this for a week now in my upper back, and then it moves to top of tummy .. pretty constant. Doing a lot of burping, and feel so tired with it. it's either a dull ache , a stabbing pain or a pressure . I know I've put weight on my tummy but need some suggestions to ease it . Been living off warm water and small portions. Thanks ladies x

Yep. It's painful. Can you for a brisk walk, alone ;-). Or a warm bath and lap the water towards your bottom to encourage a release of gas. Rubbing the belly? I can often watch my wind progress downwards

Windeze or Deflatine work for me.
Or like CLKD says, a good walk shifts it too.
it's sometimes what I call a noisy walk. 😆

Have you had this before Nellie Noo? Could it be gall bladder?

Lying on your tummy helps too, like when people lie a baby along their (the adult's) arm to help with wind. Or, if not able to do that, rubbing your tummy firmly in a circular motion can help.

It can be caused by stress, which wouldn't be a surprise at the moment. Swollowing air is what does it.

I'm feeling this too, but the air seems trapped in my chest, like I want to burp but can't. anxiety is making me breathe deeper and more frequently, taking big breaths as I feel I need more air, and also swallowing a lot more frequently due to throat discomfort, so I have put it down to swallowing more air, as it only really happens when I think about.

I suffer from a lot of trapped wind/gas due to having chronic constipation. What I find helps is lie on your left hand side in the foetal position. Try and curl up as tight as possible and the pressure of curling up normally lets it out. Just make sure you are alone if you have any issues with passing wind in front of anyone!!!😤
