 Hi ladies, I'm in a state, 😢 2nd month on sequie regime, utro 12 days each month, and I just cannot nod off, its making my life unbearable, I'm so fatigued, worn out. I'm a highly strung stressed type so thought utro would help but it's not sedatng for me at all, quite the opposite.

Is there an alternative progesterone that I can ask my Dr for ?, I have been on Cerazette mini pill before and that progesterone was fine. Or should I carry on with it and see if it settles ?.

I have also tried progest cream in the past and this was fab, but obviously not prescribed by GP's.

Hi Stellajane, thanks for replying, it's Desogestrel progesterone in cerazette, I don't think its used for HRT ? 😞.

 Ive not tried vaginally as have issues with bladder infections and scared it might irritate, but maybe it's worth a try as I can't carry on like this. I feel dreadful today and look like a panda with my dark circles under my eyes.

Hi Lillith: is it urine 'infection'?  Vaginal atrophy mimics repeated urine infection-type symptoms really really well.  Ring your Surgery ASAP and ask for appropriate treatment for VA, you don't need a blood test or intimate examination.  Let us know how you get on.

Hi CLKD, It's everytime I have sex, it irritates my urethra and I either end up with full blown infection or symptoms of it that last a week but I drink loads water to flush it. I've booked Dr appointment on 27th as you are right I definitely have atrophy, I have another thread about my zero sex drive and the fact that my clitoris has totally disappeared ! 😢

Well I tried utro vsginally last night, put it up as far as I could, only used one 100mg capsule, I did get a little bit of sleep, but this morning my knickers had white stuff on them and when I wiped. Does that mean it has all come out and hasnt worked ?.

Another query, I am overdue a smear test, will the utero affect the test ?.

I would ring the Practice Nurse for advice?  How overdue is the smear test?

It's only a month overdue, but I've had CIN 3 and Lletz procedure so important its done. Might be best to book it when I'm just on the estrogen part of the cycle.
  Should I be taking 200mg utro vaginally or is 100mg ok as I read its absorbed better ?.

What does your Health Provider suggest?  I would ring the Practice to check on what is required B4 a smear.
