So I have struggled with my weight since the menopause not helped by different HRT, oral and patches. Found Fem 7 Conti and everything was great and then.... they stop making it. Back to square one trying to find one I was happy with but no luck. Thankfully I had a really understanding GP who referred me to a specialist as I said I thought I was best suited to the hormone levonorgestrel but there were no other patches around, only a coil. Went to see the specialist and he agreed we try the merena coil along with Estrodial gel daily. The coil is in for four years. And everything is absolutely great! I?ll not lie the coil was painful but so worth it.
The specialist suggested half doses of the gel and up if needed, I've not needed to up it.
Just thought this may help others who got on with the Fem7.
