HRT equivalent dose for patches, gel and oral from BMS
« on: February 07, 2020, 07:24:49 PM »

I don't know if it's already out there but I found this PDf comparing dosages from the British Menopause Society. For me if was different then always assumed. Also info on progesterone/ progestins, different regimes and side-effects.

I can't copy/ paste from the PDF

                          Ultra low.                    Low.                    Medium.                 High

Oral.                    0,5 mg.                      1,0 mg.                2,0 mg                    3,0 mg

Patch.                25 mg.                         25.mg                  50 mg.                  75-100 mg

Gel-pump.         1/2 pump.                   1 pump.               2 pump.                3 - 4 pump

Gel- sachet.       1/2 x 0,5 mg              0,5 mg.                1 mg.                     1,5 - 2,0 mg
                            sachet-0,25mg

Thanks for posting this Alicess. Yes this information has been  provided regularly as women are often asking what equivalent doses are - but good to have it actually written out. The approx level of high medium and low is also on this very website if you look on the menu under HRT preparations on the Treatments tab - it gives low medium and high - although it doesn't spell it out in quite the same way re gel dose between low and ultra low.
